Weekly Weather Outlook
In this week’s update, we take a look back at winter and, more importantly, look ahead to what’s shaping up to be a hot and dry start to spring.
With temperatures set to climb and rainfall remaining limited across many parts of the country, the bushfire risk is expected to become elevated across large areas of Australia. It’s a timely reminder to stay weather-aware and prepared as we head further into spring.
In Western Australia, an active cut-off low is bringing a mix of strong winds, rain, thunderstorms and lightning across the central regions of the state.
Across the rest of the country, relatively stable, dry and warm conditions are expected to dominate, with some light showers across the week. The main exception will be the early mornings, with frost and fog possible across parts of eastern Australia.
Tasmania is in for a particularly windy week, with very strong winds expected at times and the potential for Sheep Graziers Warnings to be issued. If you’re in southern Australia, make sure you keep an eye on the latest forecasts and warnings.
Looking further ahead, a sunny and warm weekend is shaping up for many parts of the country next week with some decent spray windows on the way as well.
